A two year old boy from Buchege village in Kuresoi North constituency is reportedly nursing injury on his right ear. This is after a bloody incident occurred whereby his step father allegedly chopped off the boy’s ear. As per the neighbors, the two year old is a victim of regular cruel treatment from the step-father. In the last three months, the boy has been forced to sleep outside the paternal home on several occasions.
The area assistant chief, Mr. Richard Towett confirmed the ugly incident saying that it was unbecoming of the step dad and quite unfortunate to the two-year old boy. He further urged parents to not only protect their children against abuse but also facilitate a conducive environment that will turn children into responsible adults.
Reporting the incident, Cynthia Kiplang’at said that the step father committed the crime while the boy’s mother was away working at a farm. The mother only learnt of the abuse after the boy rushed to the farm while crying and bleeding profusely.Immediately the mother raised an alarm prompting the assaulter to disappear. Nonetheless, he was later arrested and taken to Kuresoi police station where he awaits to be arraigned in a Molo court today.
