Joint Bravia Holdings Bosses Accused of Ksh 1.5 Million Fraud

Two businessmen have been charged with conspiring to defraud Sh 1.5 million.

The directors of Bravia Holding Kenya Limited Peter Gitau Muchora alias George and Ndangizi Nestore Muriethi are accused on diverse dates between 28 October and 6 November this year at Yaya centre in Nairobi, jointly with others not before court, conspired to defraud and obtained US dollars 16250 equivalent to Sh 1.67250 from Mohamed Hamed Hermi Elsherbini Emara by presenting an offer of certification of ownership and exportation of mineral which they never processed.

Muchora is accused that on similar dated and place, jointly with others not before court obtained from Emara Sh 1.590,300 by pretending that his company Bravia Holding Kenya Limited was in a position to offer certification of ownership and importation of minerals.

Mureithi is also accuses that at the same dates and place, jointly with others not before court obtained Sh 76,950 by falsely pretending that his company was in a position offer certification and importation of minerals, a fact he knew to be false.

They pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.

They were were released a cash bail of Sh 200,000 and bond of 500,000 pending hearing and determination of the criminal case.

The case will be mentioned on 21st December and will be heard on 8th January 2019.
