Meru Senator Mithika Linturi’s estranged wife, Marianne Kitanny is now free to return to her Runda home after a Nairobi court reinstated orders barring him from evicting her.
Ms. Kitanny was allegedly evicted from the house after a different court dismissed a suit she filed seeking court protection after her advocate failed to attend court on time.
Delivering the ruling, Milimani Court Resident Magistrate Isaac Orenge further ordered Runda Officer Commanding Station (OCS) to enforce the orders allowing Ms. Kitanny into the house to ensure that her family enjoys peace pending further court directions.
The case on the struggle for the Runda residence occupancy will be heard on January 14, 2018.
The High Court on December 24, 2018 restrained the Senator from transferring property that he owns with Ms. Kitanny.
Ms. Keitanny had moved to court seeking Ksh.10 million she alleged to have lost during the December 19, 2018 scuffle at the Runda home which led to her eviction.
